"After 80 years in the Swets family — and almost 40 as home to a one-of-a-kind roadside sculpture park — Timnath's storied Swetsville Zoo property recently went under contract, prompting plenty of questions from Coloradoan readers.
The 36-acre parcel, located at 4801 E. Harmony Road, is slated to be developed into a new multi-use "live, work, play community" with both retail and residential components, according to its prospective buyer, McCauley Development Group. Its sale will mark the end of an era for the property, which was purchased by John and Gertrude Swets in 1942."
